Overview

Mental Health First Aid is the benchmark Mental Health First Aid course in Australia. Fully accredited through Mental Health Australia, the MHFA program is an internationally recognised program based on proven scientific and evidence-based research in mental health.

The course is ideally suited to workplaces, organisations or individuals. It provides a broad overview of all common mental health issues and how to recognise their signs and symptoms, how to approach a sufferer and where to go for professional help.

Course Format

Our MHFA course is delivered face to face using two trainers. The course runs for 12-hours and is often delivered over 2 or 4 days. All participants will receive an in-depth Mental Health First Aid manual to keep for reference and certification will be issued on the day of completion.

Who can attend a MHFA course?

MHFA is open to all participants and is ideally aimed at those aged 18 or above. The course is designed to be educational and is not a therapy or support group.

Accreditation

Accreditation is issued Directly by Mental Health First Aid Australia. All participants who have completed a MHFA course will be invited to take a short online accreditation assessment. Full detail here.
